Dear kids,
So it was around November when I thought "It's time to get serious about this body thing. I'm now in my 30s. If I'm not in shape now, when's it going to happen?" So I researched and pondered and found the best workout program I could, signed up and started hitting the gym big time.
In two weeks I was doing things I wouldn't have thought possible. I was running, I was power lifting, I was amazing. Then two days before Christmas, I'm doing a simple series of 12 inch step ups and step down the wrong way. I try to catch myself and snap. Sprained wrist. Broken right arm.
Pain. So much pain. Days and days and days of pain. Stupid cast. Stupid burned week of Daddy's vacation time to stay home and take care of us. Stupid money for a full time nanny for a week because we were in such a daze we didn't know how to function.
Then hope. Tons and tons of bright white hope in the form of family and friends who stepped up and made our lives function again. They were here from the moment Daddy took the boys to school till he got home at dinner time. They cleaned, they changed Karalynn, they held Karalynn, they played with Kariah, they did dishes, they drove car pool.
They did it all. For an entire month. Because they love us. Never forget. We are so loved!
